Dayonni Phillips, AmBryce Scholar: Winner of University of Notre Dame Library Research Award

Africana Studies would like to congratulate the amazing, talented AmBryce Scholar, Miss. Dayonni Phillips for being one of the Library Research Award Winners. This is a annual, honorary award that was given to Miss. Phillips for her senior thesis and capstone, "You Control the Media, You Control the Masses; The Implementation of a Ban on Isla Mujeres Mexico: The Intersection of Norms, Law, and Economy." She took full advantage of the Senior Thesis camps in the fall of 2019 and continued research utilizing the libraries, and the digital tools available for for research from the libraries Center for Digital Scholarship (CDS). This experience of approaching her research utilizing the digital tools have and will make her successful transition to graduate school as seamless as possible. Congratulations, Dayonni!
